The 13th Annual Folklore Festival “5th August in Knin”

Fans of folk customs, songs, dance and traditional culture that people from this region pass on from one generation to the next, will have an opportunity to enjoy themselves on 4th August, when Knin is the host of a large international folklore festival. Eleven cultural and artistic associations from different parts of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will participate in the festival, led by the host of the event, Croatian Cultural Association “Napredak” from Knin, and its partner, the Community of Croatians from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Branch Knin. The event has been held for five years in a row under the sponsorship of the President of the Republic of Croatia, and it is dedicated to all Croatian war veterans.

The following cultural and artistic associations will participate in the festival: “Ivan Goran Kovačić” from Bibinje, “Ravnice” from Stari Perkovci, “Mak” from Trnovec, “Lipa” from Sinac, “Kolajnice” from Šibenik “Andrija Matijaš Pauk” from Marina, “Rotimlja” from Široki Brijeg, Sava-Region Country Club “Derventsko kolo” from Zagreb, “Kunjka” from Tkon, “Veseli Posavljaci” from Bijelo Brdo, “Kralj Zvonimir” from Knin, and “Napredak” from Knin.
